Job summary

YMCA Bournemouth is seeking a Relief Child Contact Centre Practitioner to support children and families within our NACCC-accredited centre in Bournemouth. You will observe supervised family time and help ensure a safe, respectful environment that keeps the child at the heart of care.

We welcome compassionate, professional team players with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent and experience working with children or families.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Experience or understanding of working with children, families or individuals who may be in challenging circumstances.
• Commitment to equality, diversity and safeguarding.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and clear written information.

Responsibilities

• Observe and support supervised and supported family time within the Child Contact Centre.
• Work closely with children, families and colleagues, maintaining professional boundaries.
• Provide a safe, respectful and non-judgemental environment prioritising the welfare of the child.
• Communicate effectively with people of all ages and backgrounds.
• Provide clear and accurate written information relating to family contact sessions.
