Job summary

YMCA Bournemouth seeks a Relief Child Contact Centre Practitioner to support safe, positive family time at the Centre. You will observe sessions, interact with children and families, and help maintain a neutral, non-judgemental environment in line with safeguarding policies.

You will work as part of a team, following YMCA Bournemouth procedures and contributing to inclusive, supportive services across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.

Qualifications

• Ability to observe and support supervised family time.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, families and colleagues.
• Ability to work within safeguarding policies and professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Observe and support supervised family time within the Centre.
• Maintain professional boundaries and work respectfully with all parties.
• Provide a safe, supportive environment prioritising the child's welfare.
• Communicate clearly in written information about sessions.
• Respond sensitively to individuals under stress.
