Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd is seeking a talented Relief Chef Manager to support our contract catering operation across the South M25 region, with coverage for multiple locations. Based at our Hook Norton offices, you will lead kitchen teams and create from-scratch menus.

You should have head chef or chef manager experience in contract catering, ideally schools or B&I, and strong English communication. We offer travel expense coverage, a 40-hour week, and extensive development.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced kitchens at Head Chef or Chef Manager level within contract catering.
• Ability to create bespoke seasonal menus from regional/local suppliers.
• Ability to manage food costings and bookwork in line with brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Cover Head Chef/Chef Manager holidays and sickness.
• Support mobilisation across locations.
• Troubleshoot at locations needing extra support.
• Cover vacancies.
• Produce meals from fresh ingredients following brand standards.
• Create bespoke seasonal menus from regional suppliers.
• Complete food costings and company bookwork.
• Ensure food hygiene and allergen control procedures are followed.
