Job summary

CrossReach Trading Ltd. is seeking a Relief Care Worker to support older residents with dignity, independence and comfort in a busy care setting in Scalloway, Shetland. You will work across shifts, assisting with personal care, meals and daily activities while building meaningful relationships.

Training and support are provided. Applicants should be compassionate, adaptable and ready to contribute to a high standard of person-centred care, with PVG and SSSC registration obligations to meet.

Qualifications

• Must be kind, dependable and able to adapt to different situations and shifts.
• Commitment to treating residents with dignity, respect and compassion.
• Hold SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Healthcare or be willing to work towards it.
• Membership of PVG Scheme and registration with SSSC.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with personal care and day-to-day living.
• Assist with meals and promote nutrition and hydration.
• Encourage independence and individual choice.
• Help residents remain active and engaged in daily life.
• Build positive relationships with residents and their families.
• Work as part of a team to deliver person-centred care.
• Maintain accurate records and follow care procedures.
