Job summary

CrossReach is seeking a Relief Care Worker to support older people in Scotland with dignity, independence and comfort. You will work across shifts providing daily living support, personal care and companionship, with training and guidance given as needed.

Applicants should be kind, dependable and adaptable, ready to learn and join a team committed to person-centred care. PVG checks and SSSC registration are required, with SVQ Level 3 toward qualification encouraged.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Healthcare (or working towards).
• Membership of the PVG Scheme is required.
• Registration with the SSSC is required.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with personal care and day-to-day living.
• Assist with meals and promote nutrition and hydration.
• Encourage independence and individual choice.
• Help residents remain active and engaged in daily life.
• Build positive relationships with residents and their families.
• Work as part of a team to deliver person-centred care.
• Maintain accurate records and follow care procedures.
