Job summary

Cyngor Sir Ceredigion County Council is seeking a Relief Care and Support Worker for Hafan Deg Residential Home in Lampeter. You will implement care plans and support service users with complex needs, delivering 1-1 or group help alongside professionals.

Role involves administering prescribed medication, recording care activities, and managing day-to-day safety. A DBS check is required; you will join safeguarding efforts and multi-agency work, with Welsh language promotion encouraged.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS check is required.
• Ability to work a rolling rota of days and nights.
• Welsh language promotion and service user language preferences encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Carry out duties as identified in care and support plans, including users with complex or high needs.
• Administer prescribed medication including controlled drugs.
• Maintain up to date recording systems and documentation.
• Respond to emergencies and escalate risks when needed.
• Advocate for service users and work with families and agencies.
• Work in partnership with others to promote wellbeing and safety.
