Job summary

Cyngor Sir Ceredigion County Council in Ceredigion seeks relief Level 2 – Care and Support for the Children’s Safe Accommodation provision. You will work on a rota, covering day and night shifts, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to meet children's needs in a safe residential setting.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, a child-centred approach, and DBS clearance. Welsh language support is offered with funded lessons for non-Welsh speakers.

Qualifications

• Solid career history in children’s residential care or a comparable care and support provision.
• Passion for promoting a child-centred approach to practice.
• Welsh language fluency preferred; non-Welsh speakers are welcome with funded lessons.
• Enhanced DBS check required – previous convictions not automatically disqualifying.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and support to children in a safe residential setting.
• Work rotating shifts, including day and night coverage.
• Collaborate with the Registered Manager, Assistant Manager and Level 3 staff to meet children's needs.
• Promote a child-centred approach to practice.
