Job summary

Scottish Borders Council is seeking a Relief Support Worker for St Ronan's Care Home, Innerleithen. The role is casual/relief with the aim of providing person-centred practical and emotional support to residents, following individual care plans.

You will help promote wellbeing, assist with daily activities, and support service users in personal care, nutrition, and mobility as needed. Training is provided and PVG/SSSC processes are supported by the employer.

Qualifications

• SVQ2 or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
• PVG Adults - we will do this for you! SSSC registered.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred practical and emotional support to empower the people we care for, as outlined in individual support plans.
• Promote the health and well-being of the people we support and ensure their needs are met in an inclusive way.
• Support, enable and involve service users in all aspects of their lives, including personal care, eating, drinking, and mobility if necessary.
• Be responsible for the safe administration of Service Users' medication, following relevant training.
