Job summary

Scottish Borders Council are recruiting a Relief Homecare Night Support Worker to provide person-centred practical and emotional support in Earlston, Lauder & Melrose. This relief/casual role offers flexible hours and training is provided.

Applicants should have PVG Adults clearance (we will arrange) and SSSC registration; a current driving licence and use of a vehicle are essential. Benefits include a Living Wage, pension, and discounts.

Job Title: Relief Homecare Night Support Worker

Location: Earlston, Lauder & Melrose (Central)

Hours: Relief/Casual

Salary*: £14.37 - £15.10 per hour / £27,739.05 - £29,147.42 pro rata per annum

Contract: Relief/Casual

Qualifications: SVQ2 or equivalent is desirable but not essential. You can earn whilst you learn!

Training: All training is provided.

Requirements: PVG Adults - we will do this for you! SSSC registered.

A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is essential.**

The Role

Providing person-centred practical and emotional support to empower the people we care for, as outlined in individual support plans.

Promote the health and well-being of the people we support and ensure their needs are met in an inclusive way.

Support, enable and involve service users in all aspects of their lives, including personal care, eating, drinking, and mobility if necessary.

Be responsible for the safe administration of Service Users' medication, following relevant training.
