Job summary

Corbenic Camphill Community Limited in Scotland is seeking a Relief Support Worker to provide flexible cover across our residential houses and services. Hours are not guaranteed and will depend on community needs.

You will support residents with daily living activities, personal care and independence in a warm, supportive environment. We look for caring, reliable individuals with strong communication skills and a commitment to person-centred care.

Qualifications

• Caring, reliable and motivated individuals who are passionate about supporting others.
• Good communication and relationship-building skills are essential.
• Experience in health & social care settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities and additional support needs, promoting dignity, choice, independence and wellbeing.
• Support residents with everyday living activities, including personal care, dressing, washing and maintaining personal hygiene where required.
• Encourage and support residents to develop their independence, confidence and practical life skills.
• Support residents to participate in meaningful activities, hobbies, social opportunities and community involvement.
• Assist with meal preparation, household tasks and maintaining a comfortable living environment.
• Build positive and respectful relationships with residents, their families, colleagues and other professionals.
• Follow individual support plans, risk assessments and organisational policies and procedures.
• Support the safe administration of medication in accordance with Corbenic's medication procedures, following appropriate training.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate relevant information to colleagues and managers.
• Promote the health, safety and wellbeing of residents at all times.
• Work flexibly across different residential houses and services to provide cover where required.
• Participate in mandatory training, supervision and other relevant development activities.
• Carry out other reasonable duties as requested by your line manager or the Community's Senior Leadership Team.
