Job summary

Riverside in Workington is looking for a Care Assistant to join a permanent team for 30 hours per week, based at Harbour Place. You will support residents with personal care following individual plans and contribute to their quality of life.

Join a compassionate team with training provided on care standards and procedures. The role requires flexibility to meet needs and may include shift work within the Riverside housing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a customer focused, residential environment, offering personal care to a diverse group of people
• An awareness of housing and Health and Safety legislation and regulation National Care Standards Awareness
• Flexibility to work hours to meet customer and business needs, which may include working outside of normal office hours and lone working

Responsibilities

• You will provide assistance to residents in need of physical personal care and carry out individual tasks with residents in line with their support plans, to maintain or improve their quality of life and to be able to recognise signs of distress in residents.
• You will work with the team to identify and assess positive ways to reduce distress and give residents control over their lives wherever possible.
• Maintain detailed, accurate records of care and medication support provided, as well as tasks undertaken.
• Take pride and initiative in working with customers to meet their needs, creating a safe, comfortable and respectful living environment.
