Job summary

McCarthy & Stone Ltd is seeking a Relief Care Assistant in Olney, Buckinghamshire. You will work in Penny House, with no travel between clients and provide person-centred care. Training is provided, and you’ll join a supportive team in a modern environment.

The role offers an hourly rate with enhancements for unsocial hours, pension and life assurance, and additional benefits. Applicants must be over 18 and living in the UK.

Qualifications

• Warm, friendly, and passionate about supporting older adults.
• Team player, reliable and eager to learn.
• Over 18 and driving preferred but not essential.
• Health & Social Care Level 2 qualification is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supporting residents with personal care and daily routines.
• Organising and joining in with activities.
• Booking appointments and helping with practical tasks.
• Escorting residents on outings and appointments.
• Being a consistent, friendly presence in residents' lives.
• Light cleaning and domestic duties.

What You’ll Do

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Warm , friendly, and passionate about supporting older adults
• A team player who is reliable and willing to learn
• Over 18 years old and preferably able to drive but not essential.
• Experience in care or a Health & Social Care Level 2 qualification is beneficial but not required.
