Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment is seeking a Purchasing Administrator in Poole, offering up to £30,000 DOE within a stable, manufacturing-focused supply chain team.

You will be the trusted contact for suppliers, ensuring orders move smoothly and reliably in a role built on consistency.

The position includes hands-on exposure to ERP/MRP systems, with duties to raise and track POs, manage supplier data, and support stock control in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a purchasing or procurement administration role
• Confidence using ERP/MRP systems such as Insight, SAP, Oracle, Epicor, or Netsuite
• Strong administrative skills with a keen eye for detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the wider MS Office suite
• Experience within electronics manufacturing or engineering environments is desirable
• A CIPS qualification, or working towards one, would be a bonus

Responsibilities

• Raise, process, and track purchase orders in line with production schedules and MRP signals
• Liaise with suppliers to confirm delivery dates and resolve queries or shortages
• Maintain accurate supplier records, pricing agreements, and lead times
• Support inventory control by monitoring stock levels and flagging shortages
• Keep purchasing and material data accurate within the ERP/MRP system
• Support audits by maintaining purchasing documentation and records
