Job summary

Omega in the United Kingdom is seeking a Reliability Engineer to improve equipment performance, reduce downtime, and ensure long-term reliability of plastics production systems.

You will develop proactive maintenance strategies, apply predictive and preventive maintenance, conduct RCFA and FMEA, implement RCMS, and collaborate with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to boost OEE and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a mechanical, industrial, electrical engineering or related field.
• Experience in reliability, maintenance, or process engineering in manufacturing (plastics packaging preferred).
• Familiarity with CMMS, vibration analysis, thermography, and MTBF/MTTR metrics.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and improve equipment performance to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
• Develop and implement predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
• Perform RCFA/RCA to identify long‑term corrective actions.
• Apply RCMS principles to optimize maintenance strategies and OEE.
• Manage spare parts inventory and work with cross‑functional teams.
