Job summary

Allianz UK is seeking an experienced Release Governance Lead to shape and mature release management governance across the business. You will operationalise a new governance and control framework, driving best practice and centralised release planning.

Hybrid role with offices in Guildford, Bournemouth, or Birmingham; attend twice weekly. You will build oversight, report to senior stakeholders, and advance automation and AI-enabled improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in Release Management, Change Management or IT governance.
• Ability to make evidence-based governance decisions when standards are not met.
• Experience in regulated enterprise environments with auditability and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate the Release Readiness Assurance (RRA) process and issue readiness decisions.
• Provide independent governance oversight for high-risk releases.
• Review the Forward Schedule of Change and Release Calendar.
• Challenge delivery teams and suppliers where governance documents are not meeting standards.
• Ensure Service Acceptance and Operational Readiness evidence is completed before deployment.
• Produce governance reporting, risk visibility and insights for senior stakeholders.
• Identify trends and drive continuous improvement in release governance.
• Contribute to Allianz UK's Release Management framework alignment with group standards.
• Build trusted relationships with delivery teams and business stakeholders.
