Job summary

Cancer Research UK is seeking a Local Fundraising Manager to inspire and manage supporters, including individuals, groups and corporate partners, to maximise in-year fundraising and long-term income. This home-based role requires extensive travel across the patch and excellent relationship-building skills.

You will report to the Divisional Manager in the Marketing, Fundraising & Engagement Directorate, drive new opportunities and partnerships, and work with a proactive, people-centred approach

Qualifications

• Experience in business development or fundraising.
• Excellent networking and relationship manager skills.
• Ability to motivate and influence supporters or customers to reach targets.
• Adaptable in an environment with competing priorities.
• Strong communication and presentation skills (face to face, written and phone).

Responsibilities

• Inspiring, developing and managing supporters to achieve goals with tailored stewardship.
• Developing a prospect pipeline and acquiring new supporters and income with the Business Development team.
• Hit fundraising targets and KPIs for Cancer Research UK's research.
• Support creation and delivery of strategies to build long-term income.
• Build strong relationships with colleagues to develop transitioned supporters.
