Job summary

Superior Healthcare is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Consultant / Relationship Manager. Based in the UK, you will drive growth across the South of England and beyond, building strategic partnerships and maintaining key stakeholder relationships in complex care sectors.

You will identify new business opportunities, negotiate contracts, and collaborate with internal teams to mobilise new care packages while travelling extensively across the UK.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of the healthcare sector, commissioning processes, regulatory frameworks and market dynamics.

  • Ability to build credibility and influence at all levels across public and private sector organisations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to growth opportunities.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement growth strategies within the complex care sector, focusing on supported living and local authority-funded care packages.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, joint ventures and acquisitions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local authorities, commissioners, healthcare providers and other organisations.
  • Collaborate with private sector stakeholders such as Case Managers, Occupational Therapists, Financial Deputies and solicitors.
  • Work with operational, legal, finance and clinical teams to mobilise and deliver new care packages.
  • Maintain understanding of healthcare landscape, regulatory requirements, market trends and competitor activity.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop targeted campaigns and BD initiatives.
  • Represent the organisation at industry events nationwide and maintain a strong opportunity pipeline.
  • Provide accurate forecasting and reporting on BD activity.

About the Role

We are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Consultant / Relationship Manager to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong background in complex care, supported living, or live-in care services to play a key role in driving business growth across the South of England.

You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders across both the public and private healthcare sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement business growth strategies within the complex care sector, with a particular focus on supported living services and local authority-funded care packages.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and acquisitions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, commissioners, healthcare providers, and other relevant organisations.
  • Develop and nurture relationships within the private sector, including Case Managers, Occupational Therapists, Financial Deputies, Personal Injury Solicitors, and Expert Witnesses.
  • Collaborate closely with operational, legal, finance, and clinical teams to ensure the successful mobilisation and delivery of newly secured care packages.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the healthcare and complex care landscape, including regulatory requirements, market trends, and competitor activity.
  • Work alongside the marketing team to develop and execute targeted campaigns and business development initiatives.
  • Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, exhibitions, and networking opportunities nationwide.
  • Maintain and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities, providing accurate forecasting and reporting on business development activity.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:
