Job summary

HSBC Group is offering a 10-week Commercial Banking internship in the UK to support Relationship Managers and specialist teams. You will help build an understanding of each client's business, goals and challenges, and see how HSBC brings together the right expertise to respond.

You'll learn how client needs, profitability and risk are balanced in real situations and develop commercial awareness by working with colleagues across Legal, Credit and Risk.

Qualifications

• Available to work full time for 10 weeks commencing June 2027.
• Will have completed studies by July 2028.
• On-track to obtain a minimum of a 2:1 undergraduate degree (or overseas equivalent to this)
• Be in your penultimate year of undergraduate study
• Fluent in English
• Legally permitted to work in the UK for the full duration of the programme and beyond the end date, without requiring HSBC visa sponsorship
• Please provide your achieved or expected final undergraduate degree result using the grading system used by your university (e.g. 2:1, First Class, GPA 3.5/4.0, 75% or local equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Support Relationship Managers and specialist teams to assist Commercial Banking clients.
• Help build an understanding of each client's business, goals and challenges.
• Assist with client presentations, reports and credit papers.
• Contribute to strategic reviews and pitches, and carry out financial analysis and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with Legal, Credit, Risk and other teams to deliver tailored solutions.
