Job summary

HSBC Group in the UK offers a placement in Commercial Banking designed to support client relationships from day one. You’ll work with Relationship Managers and specialist teams, helping to understand client businesses, goals and challenges, and assist with presentations, reports and credit papers.

During the placement, you’ll receive structured training and gain hands-on experience across legal, credit and risk areas.

Qualifications

• Completed undergraduate studies by July 2029 or being in final year
• Placement programme as part of undergraduate studies, graduating in 2029
• On-track to obtain a minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree (or overseas equivalent)
• Penultimate year of undergraduate study
• Fluent in English
• Legally permitted to work in the UK for the full duration of the programme and beyond the end date, without requiring HSBC visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Support Relationship Managers and specialist teams to understand client business, goals and challenges
• Assist with client presentations, reports and credit papers; carry out financial analysis and risk assessments
• Work with Legal, Credit and Risk colleagues to deliver tailored solutions across functions and geographies
• Contribute to teamwork and relationship-led work to help clients succeed
