Job summary

HSBC Holdings plc in Birmingham invites you to join its Commercial Bank as a Relationship Management internship. From day one you’ll work with Relationship Managers and specialist teams to support clients, gaining hands-on exposure to client meetings, credit papers, and strategic reviews.

You will learn how HSBC brings together the right expertise to respond to client needs, develop commercial awareness, and build professional relationships in a fast-paced, relationship-led environment.

Qualifications

• Availability to work full time for 10 weeks commencing June 2027
• Will have completed studies by July 2028
• On-track to obtain a minimum of a 2:1 undergraduate degree (or overseas equivalent)
• Be in your penultimate year of undergraduate study
• Legally permitted to work in the UK for the full duration of the programme without HSBC visa sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Support Relationship Managers and specialist teams to understand a client’s business, goals and challenges
• Assist with client presentations, reports and credit papers
• Carry out financial analysis and risk assessments on portfolios and transactions
• Collaborate with colleagues across Legal, Credit and Risk to deliver tailored solutions
