We’re looking for a driven communicator to develop relationships across the bank, ensuring a cooperative approach to lead generation.
You’ll be building relationships with and managing our clients, in line with our customer strategy and marketing plans.

As a Relationship Director, you’ll provide financial services to large corporate customers by engaging them with respect, professionalism, and credibility in all situations. To succeed, you’ll develop a robust network of external contacts across the wider business community. You may also use your leadership and motivational skills to manage an assistant, contributing to the performance and sustainable profitability of your function.
The customer portfolio mainly consists of large corporate clients with revenues over £100m, including sectors like retail, motor dealerships, large-scale food manufacturers, and others. Given the size of the debt balance sheet, demonstrating experience in providing complex debt solutions is essential.
You’ll also be:
Proven experience in a financial role, with a clear understanding of credit markets and lending best practices, is expected. Experience with syndicated transactions, liaising with agency banking teams, and exposure to private equity funding structures will be advantageous. You should be able to analyze and interpret financial information and complex corporate situations, anticipate future business trends, and evaluate strategic options. A background in providing innovative solutions to complex problems, including deal structuring and setting financial covenants, is also important.
While not essential, a demonstrable knowledge of the market and a local network within the Solent region will distinguish you from other candidates.
It’s essential that you hold a Diploma in Lending Skills professional qualification or are willing to work towards it within the first six months of your role.
