Cynergy Bank invites an experienced Relationship Director to shape the future of Relationship Management in Manchester. You will lead a portfolio of business customers (£5m-£60m lending), manage a small team, and drive sustainable growth while upholding strong risk standards.

The role offers hybrid working: 3 days in the Manchester office and 2 days from home, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer outcomes and collaborating with partners across the Bank.

This is a permanent opportunity to join our Relationship Management team based in Manchester.

As Relationship Director, you will play a leading role in delivering the Bank's regional growth strategy, managing a portfolio of business customers (£5m-£60m lending) whilst leading and developing a small team. Your work will help drive sustainable business growth, maintain strong risk standards and deliver exceptional customer outcomes.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced relationship banker who enjoys building long-term client relationships, developing people and identifying opportunities to support businesses at every stage of their journey.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Maximise new lending opportunities and drive product uptake with existing customers.

• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to ensure the Bank remains competitive.

• Ensure full compliance with AML, KYC and regulatory requirements.

• Champion a high-quality customer experience and continuous process improvement.

• Lead, coach and develop team members to achieve individual and collective success.

What You Will Bring

• Proven experience in Business, Commercial or Corporate Banking relationship management.

• Demonstrable experience managing a lending portfolio within the SME, Commercial or Corporate Banking market.

• Strong credit assessment and lending structuring capabilities across a range of transactions.

• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Sound understanding of risk, governance, AML and KYC frameworks.

• Experience leading, coaching and developing colleagues.

• Ability to motivate others and build high-performing teams.

• Proactive approach to problem-solving and driving results.

• Experience managing and developing a small team, including responsibility for an Associate Director and Associate.
