Job summary

Hertfordshire County Council's ESMA Teaching Service is recruiting a Reintegration and Education Officer to coordinate educational support for medical absence students and plan their reintegration back to school.

You will work with schools, health professionals and families, organise Planning and Review Meetings, and ensure safe, inclusive education while aligning with medical recommendations. A driving licence and willingness to travel within Hertfordshire are essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience of an educational setting.
• Ability to organise and manage your time effectively.
• Ability to organise and lead meetings with a range of professionals and family to arrange support plan for the pupil.
• Understanding of keeping children safe in education legislation.
• Commitment to promoting equal opportunities and diversity.
• Excellent communication and technology (ICT) skills.
• Ability to prioritise work within a multi-professional team reflecting service priorities.
• Able to travel independently - current driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and inform Planning and Review Meetings with families, school, and health professionals.
• Work with schools, health professionals and other agencies to ensure education for medically absent children.
• Promote learning and personal development and reintegration plans aligned with medical recommendations.
