Job summary

Marsh is hiring an XOL Technician to join the Client Services Support team in Witham. This hybrid role requires at least three days in the office per week.

You will support clients through transactional processing, securing reinsurance recoveries via accurate system entry and by handling premiums, claims and associated duties. Collaboration with Brokers, Clients and Markets is essential, with growth opportunities in a global firm.

Qualifications

• Reinsurance premium/claims experience is required.
• Experience with Excess of Loss (XOL) is preferred.
• Competent Excel and Microsoft Office applications are required.
• Demonstrated ability to manage workload and expectations.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned client portfolio with technical duties related to accounts, premiums and claims.
• Assist with collection of funds with Market Fiduciary.

XOL Technician

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Client Services Support team at Marsh Re. This role will be based in Witham. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

As a Reinsurance Technician (XOL), you will support our client base through transactional processing, securing reinsurance recoveries through timely and accurate system entry.

We will count on you:

• Manage an assigned client portfolio, taking full responsibility of technical duties relating to client accounts, premiums and claims
• Work with Market Fiduciary to assist with collection of funds
• Manage all XOL post, brokerage receivables, funding, retention, e-trading, ad hoc reporting requests, and all transactional process steps
• Promote, build and maintain relationships with Brokers, Clients and Markets
• Participate in training sessions, and provide input within the team and/or department for all aspects of reinsurance service processing to assist with troubleshooting

What you need to have:

• Reinsurance Premium/Claims experience, ie; handling cash loss/large loss and a desire to move into the Reinsurance sector.

• Experience within Excess of Loss (XOL)

• Competent Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.

• Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of technical account structure.

• Successful management of workload; with an ability to manage expectations.

What makes you stand out:

• Experience of working in a technical capacity for a Broker
• Experience of using London Market systems such as LORS and the IMR (Insurance Market Repository)
• Knowledge of CLASS system is useful for review of London market queries
• Knowledge of Letters Of Credit and the Citibank process
