Job summary

Marsh RE (formerly Guy Carpenter) is seeking a Reinsurance Technician (XOL/Pro Rata) to join our Client Services Support team in Witham. This hybrid role requires three days in the office and focuses on transactional processing and securing reinsurance recoveries through accurate system entry.

You will support client accounts, work with Market Fiduciary to collect funds, manage post and brokerage receivables, and help develop your knowledge of London Market systems such as LORS, IMR, and CLASS.

Qualifications

• Some demonstrable Insurance/Reinsurance Premium/Claims experience.
• Proficient Excel and MS Office Applications.
• Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of technical account structure.
• Successful management of workload; with an ability to manage expectations.

• Manage an assigned client portfolio, taking full responsibility of technical duties relating to client accounts, premiums and claims.
• Work with Market Fiduciary to assist with collection of funds.
• Manage all XOL post, brokerage receivables, funding, retention, e-trading, ad hoc reporting requests, and all transactional process steps.
• Promote, build and maintain relationships with Brokers, Clients and Markets.
• Participate in training sessions, and provide input within the team and/or department for all aspects of reinsurance service processing to assist with troubleshooting.

Reinsurance Technician (XOL/Pro Rata)

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Client Services Support team at Marsh RE (formerly Guy Carpenter). This role will be based in Witham. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

As a Reinsurance Technician (XOL/Pro Rata), you will support our client base through transactional processing, securing reinsurance recoveries through timely and accurate system entry.

Although Reinsurance experience would be advantageous, we are considering candidates with proven Insurance premium/claims or underwriting backgrounds who can demonstrate a desire to embark on a career in Reinsurance.

Part time may also be considered for this role.

We will count on you to:

What you need to have:

• Some demonstrable Insurance/Reinsurance Premium/Claims experience, ie; handling cash loss/large loss and a desire to move into the Reinsurance sector.
• Competent Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
• Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of technical account structure.
• Successful management of workload; with an ability to manage expectations.

• Experience within Excess of Loss (XOL) and/or Pro Rata (QS)
• Experience of working in a technical capacity for a Broker
• Experience of using London Market systems such as LORS and the IMR (Insurance Market Repository)
• Knowledge of CLASS system is useful for review of London market queries
