Job summary

Network Plus is seeking a Reinstatement Planner to support the Utilities Operations Team in planning, coordinating and delivering reinstatement works safely and on time. You will schedule resources, manage permits and notices, coordinate with field teams and clients, and monitor performance against KPIs while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

Experience in planning, scheduling or coordination in utilities or infrastructure is preferred, with strong organisational and communication

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain effective reinstatement schedules to maximise workforce utilisation.
• Coordinate reinstatement of excavations with permits, notices and streetworks rules.
• Plan and schedule resources, labour, plant and materials using planning systems.
• Manage reactive and emergency reinstatement works and ensure prompt completion.
• Monitor progress against KPIs and SLAs and report updates.
• Liaise with operations, supervisors and management to meet timescales.
• Identify and resolve planning conflicts, delays and resource constraints.
• Maintain accurate records and provide regular status updates.
• Support continuous improvement to enhance safety, quality and performance.
• Ensure activities are planned with a strong focus on safety and compliance.

Description

As a Reinstatement Planner, you will play a key role in supporting our Utilities Operations Team by ensuring reinstatement activities are planned, coordinated and delivered efficiently, safely and within contractual timescales.

You will be responsible for scheduling and optimising reinstatement works, ensuring compliance with client requirements, streetworks legislation and internal performance targets. Working closely with operational teams, supervisors and contract management, you will help drive productivity, customer satisfaction and service excellence across the contract.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain effective reinstatement schedules to maximise workforce utilisation and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate the reinstatement of excavations in line with permit and notice durations, client requirements and streetworks legislation.
• Plan and schedule resources, labour, plant and materials using company planning systems.
• Manage reactive and emergency reinstatement works, ensuring prompt allocation and completion.
• Monitor work progress and performance against contractual KPIs and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Liaise with operational teams, supervisors and management to ensure works are completed within agreed timescales.
• Proactively identify and resolve planning conflicts, delays and resource constraints.
• Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates on work status and performance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance, compliance and customer service.
• Ensure all activities are planned and coordinated with a strong focus on safety, quality and compliance.

Experience and Qualifications

• Previous experience in a planning, scheduling or coordination role.
• Experience within the utilities, telecoms, highways or infrastructure sectors is highly desirable.
• Understanding of reinstatement activities, streetworks processes and operational planning principles.
• Experience working within a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Knowledge of client SLA requirements and performance management would be advantageous.
