Main base Brocklesby Lodge. May also be based at others Rehab Service areas and occasional Acute Wards when required.

Were looking for a caring, proactive individual tojoin our community and inpatient rehabilitation services as a Therapy SupportWorker. This role is a key part of helping individuals with enduring mentalhealth needs live more independently and improve their wellbeing. You will bepart of a compassionate and close-knit team, delivering meaningful, practicalsupport that makes a real difference.

Main duties of the job

As a Therapy Support Worker, you will provide day-to-daysupport to individuals on a recovery journey. You will help with structured dailyroutines, lead or assist in activities that build life skills, and supportdelivery of 1:1 and group interventions under guidance from therapy staff.You will be an active team member across inpatient and community settings,contributing to person-centred care plans and promoting independence.

Navigo islooking for an enthusiastic, caring and resilient Health Care Assistant to joinour dynamic and dedicated mental health rehabilitation service. You will bejoining a team that is committed to delivering person-centred care toindividuals living with enduring mental health conditions and/or learningdisabilities. This role is integral in supporting our service users on theirjourney towards greater independence, recovery, and a better quality of life.

About theRole

This is aprivileged and highly rewarding position centred on building meaningful,therapeutic relationships with our service users individuals who may bestepping down from secure placements or who require tailored support in thecommunity. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team working within bothinpatient and community rehabilitation pathways.

Your rolewill involve:

Supportservice users with activities of daily living and routines.

Assist with1:1 and group interventions, including cooking, budgeting, leisure, and wellbeingactivities.

Promotedignity, self-efficacy and recovery-focused care.

Workalongside therapists and nurses to implement care and therapy plans.

Observe andreport changes in mental or physical wellbeing to the clinical team.

Help serviceusers attend appointments, engage in community activities and build confidence.

Maintainclear, accurate records using electronic systems.

Attend teammeetings, reflective practice and mandatory training.

Work acrossinpatient settings and in the community

Facilitateboth 1:1 and group activities focused on practical and emotional wellbeing,including:

Vocationaland educational planning

Copingstrategies and stress management

Engagement incommunity and leisure activities

Observationsand Reporting:

Monitor andreport any changes in mood, interaction, mental state, and daily functioning,helping to prevent relapse and contributing to the overall care planningprocess.

Recovery-FocusedWork:

Encouragegoal setting and support service users in achieving their potential throughstructured support, compassion, and guidance.

Accuratelydocument interactions, observations, and interventions in our electronicpatient record system.

TeamContribution:

Participateactively in team meetings, training sessions and service developmentdiscussions. Share insights and contribute to a positive and collaborative teamculture.

WorkFlexibility:

You will workacross inpatient settings and community environments such as service userhomes, kitchens, gardens, gyms or outdoor activity spaces wherever care andengagement is needed.

A strong sense of purpose, theability to work without direct supervision, and a non-judgemental approach areessential.

You will alsobe physically active, driving, walking, participating in leisure activities, andoccasionally supporting service users with shopping, cooking, or domestictasks. Lone working may be required, and all staff must follow the Navigo loneworking policy.

Person Specification
Experience
  • A genuine interest in mental health and recovery.
  • IT literate (basic level for documentation).
  • Emotionally resilient and able to stay calm in difficult situations.
  • Able to build rapport and communicate well with others.
  • A keen interest in mental health as evidenced by reading on the subject.
  • Mental health First Aid training.
  • An awareness of Health and Safety in the workplace.
  • Working knowledge of the benefits and housing systems.
Knowledge
  • Basic understanding of mental health conditions or therapy work.
Additional Requirements
  • To work hard to promote the mental health of service users.
  • To support others so that they can reach their full potentials.
  • To make a positive difference to peoples lives.
  • Evidence of a commitment to user/carer involvement.
