The NHS is seeking a motivated Maternity Support Worker to join its Lincoln team. You will assist in delivering care within the maternity unit, supporting midwives and offering crucial maternal services. Ideal candidates will have NVQ Level 3 and relevant experience, contributing to high-quality patient care in a supportive environment.
Fantastic opportunity to become a Maternity Support Worker(MSW) within Lincoln rotational team. You will support the team in all areas within the maternity unit.
The maternity support worker (MSW) will support a registered midwife or medical practitioner in the delivery of care to women using the maternity services. The MSW will be able to carry out a defined range of duties involving direct care in support of the midwife. The MSW under guidance will help and support the Public Health agenda by giving smoking, dietary and breastfeeding advice.
The ideal candidate should be motivated and committed to join a supportive, forward thinking team. Ideally they should already be working as a Band 2 Health Care Support Worker or something similar, with experience within the Maternity, Neonate or Paediatric services. Training and assessment will be provided to enable the candidate to provide the clinical duties as outlined in the job description. They will be supported during an induction period .
Please note you will be asked to provide your qualification certificate for NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent). You will also be required to have a full driving licence and use of own car.
Role includes weekend, bank holiday and night working.

Grantham and District Hospital serves the communities of Grantham and the local area. It provides ambulatory paediatric and accident and emergency services.
Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) and United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) have come together in a Group arrangement, with the goal of improving the care provided to patients across the county.
This will not constitute a formal merger of the two organisations, but will bring the Trusts together under a single Board and Executive Leadership Team, with the goal of improving the care that is provided to patients both in the community and in hospitals across Lincolnshire. Both Trusts will retain their separate statutory names and legal obligations.
The Group will be known as Lincolnshire Community and Hospitals NHS Group (LCHG).
