Job summary

Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Assist Physiotherapist to support therapists in delivering patient-centred care across a 7-day service in Yeovil.

You will assist in assessments and treatments, help maintain and clean equipment, support administration, and participate in supervision. This role involves working with a multidisciplinary team to promote independence and wellbeing in acute or intermediate care settings.

Qualifications

• Assist physiotherapists in management of patients (1:1 or group sessions).
• Assist with individual therapy assessments and treatments over a 7-day service.
• Provide delegated physiotherapy sessions and suggest modifications under guidance.
• Promote an enablement approach within the multidisciplinary team.
• Be responsible for provision, maintenance and cleaning of therapeutic equipment.
• Support wellbeing and independence of patients in acute or intermediate care.
• Assist in administration and clerical duties within the therapy team.
• Participate in supervision program as supervisee and supervisor.
• Competent with using a variety of manual handling equipment.
