Job summary

South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Trust in Barnsley is seeking a motivated Therapy Assistant to join the Neighbourhood Rehabilitation Service. You will work with the Intermediate Care team across Barnsley Community to provide rehabilitation in patients' homes and residential care settings.

Hours are 37.5 per week, with duties including coordinating the duty rota and supporting clinicians to deliver high-quality, safe care.

Qualifications

• GCSE A-D or grade 3-9 in Maths and English or equivalent.
• RQF/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
• Must be willing and able to undertake mandatory training.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car during the working day.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to support rehabilitation as part of the MDT.
• Coordinate duty rota and distribute shifts to support workers.
• Develop meaningful therapeutic relationships with service users.
• Assist in care planning and contribute to patients' independence and recovery.
• Deliver care with regard to risk, health and safety and infection control.
