Job summary

Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Rehabilitation Assistant to join the Inpatient Therapy Team at North Cotswolds Community Hospital. This part-time (22.5 hours/week) role supports the OT and PT teams to promote independence and safe discharge home.

The successful candidate will contribute to rehabilitation plans, attend multidisciplinary rounds, and require good communication and IT skills. A driving licence may be essential for community visits.

Qualifications

• GCSE pass or equivalent in numeracy and literacy.
• NVQ in a relevant topic (such as health care).
• Previous NHS experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist, plan and carry out treatment interventions with patients under supervision.
• Deliver rehabilitation interventions independently when competent and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Support discharge planning and coordinate with nursing staff.
• Communicate effectively with patients, relatives and external agencies.
