Job summary

Powys Teaching Health Board is seeking a proactive Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant to join its Community Therapy Team. You will help deliver patient-centred rehabilitation alongside occupational therapists and physiotherapists, contributing to recovery and ongoing care within a rural Welsh health service.

The role involves delivering rehabilitation interventions, maintaining documentation, and working flexibly across a 7-day rota from 8am to 8pm.

Qualifications

• Experience in a healthcare or therapy setting is desirable but not essential.
• Be flexible to support the team during peak service times.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rehabilitation through therapy interventions, including support with personal care, cognition and mobility.
• Carry out rehabilitation plans delegated by occupational therapists and physiotherapists.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with service users, families and the therapy team.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Community Therapy Team as a Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant.

As a vital part of our multi-disciplinary team, you will contribute to delivering a patient-centred rehabilitation service, working closely with occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and other healthcare professionals.

Passionate about patient care and rehabilitation. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Organised with good time management skills. Experience in a healthcare or therapy setting is desirable but not essential.
