Here, our people come first; our colleagues are part of a team that values individuality, collaboration, and long-standing relationships. We are also all about balance so most of our jobs offer the opportunity for hybrid working built around your role and home life, wherever possible.

What you will do:

The Regulatory Reporting Change Specialist will play a key role in delivering the Bank's regulatory reporting and finance transformation agenda. Working across Finance, Risk, Regulatory Reporting, Technology and third-party vendors, the role is responsible for implementing regulatory change, optimising reporting processes, consolidating platforms and delivering future-state technology solutions. Contributing to major strategic initiatives including Basel 3.1, data transformation and reporting infrastructure programmes, the position requires strong regulatory knowledge, analytical capability and stakeholder management skills to deliver compliant, efficient and scalable solutions that support the Bank's long-term objectives.

  • Regulatory Analysis & Impact Assessment - Interpret and assess regulatory change requirements, identifying business impacts and compliance gaps, supporting remediation activities, and ensuring clear traceability from regulatory obligations through to delivered solutions
  • Business Analysis - Gather, analyse and validate business requirements, conducting gap analysis against regulatory expectations and existing operating models, facilitating cross-functional stakeholder engagement, and supporting the development and delivery of effective regulatory solution
  • Regulatory Reporting Transformation - Support the delivery of strategic regulatory reporting transformation initiatives, including Basel 3.1, by coordinating cross-functional activities, managing risks and dependencies, supporting testing and implementation, driving process and system improvements, and helping define future-state operating models that enhance automation, controls and reporting efficiency
  • Data and Systems Change - Support data and systems change initiatives by analysing business requirements, data flows and reporting platforms, improving data quality, and delivering effective regulatory reporting solutions
  • Infrastructure & Strategic Programmes - Support the delivery of strategic infrastructure and regulatory change programmes, partnering with stakeholders to drive effective implementation, process improvements and business outcomes
  • Vendor & Third‑Party Management - Manage third‑party vendor relationships, ensuring the successful delivery of regulatory change initiatives through effective oversight of deliverables, risks, dependencies and issue resolution
  • Stakeholder Management - Build and manage effective stakeholder relationships across the business, providing clear communication, governance reporting and delivery oversight to support the successful implementation of regulatory change initiatives
  • Governance Documentation & Knowledge Management - Maintain robust governance and documentation standards by recording key decisions and regulatory interpretations, ensuring audit readiness, promoting knowledge sharing, and reducing operational risk through effective documentation and collaboration

And... we are a bank so risk is a part of everything we do. We love people who take responsibility, do the right thing for customers, colleagues and Metro Bank and have the ability to call out any concerns.

What you will need:
  • Strong knowledge of the UK regulatory landscape and experience delivering regulatory change within a banking or financial services environment
  • Excellent knowledge of UK PRA regulatory reporting requirements, including FINREP, COREP, Pillar 3, liquidity and capital reporting frameworks.
  • Proven experience supporting the delivery of large‑scale regulatory transformation programmes, including Basel 3.1 implementation
  • Experience working with regulatory reporting platforms such as Moody's Analytics, Vermeg or equivalent solutions
  • Good understanding of regulatory data governance, data quality frameworks and reporting controls
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to deliver accurate regulatory reporting outputs
  • Experience supporting testing, implementation, assurance activities and business analysis throughout the change lifecycle
  • Understand the risks associated with your job and what that means for you, Metro Bank and all our stakeholders
Our promise to you…
  • We will make sure that you are well‑rewarded by providing you with a competitive salary, discretionary annual bonus, and a wide range of benefits, including generous holiday allowance, attractive pension scheme, healthcare, life assurance, and a number of colleague discounts!
  • We will give you the training to ensure you succeed in your role and plenty of internal opportunities to progress your career (around 40% of our recruitment comes from interna promotions!

Diverse teams really are the best teams. We know that candidates (especially women, research tells us) may be put off applying for a job unless they can tick every box. We also know that 'normal' office hours aren't always doable, and while we can't accommodate every flexible working request we are happy to be asked. So if you are excited about working with us and think you can do much of what we are looking for but aren't sure if you are 100% there yet… why not give it a whirl? Good luck!
