Lloyds Banking Group is seeking a Regulatory Lead for Everyday Banking Payments Platform, based in Edinburgh, Halifax or Manchester. The role focuses on shaping the regulatory environment for consumer payments and coordinating regulatory submissions.

You will lead responses to consultations, engage with regulators, and translate policy changes into practical actions across product, finance, and risk. Hybridity and strong stakeholder engagement are key.

• Managing Key Relationships: the ability to build effective connections across diverse groups and influence outcomes. This includes engaging with regulators, policymakers, industry organizations, and senior internal collaborators.
• Communication: the skill to transform complex regulatory, policy, and payments information into clear, meaningful written and verbal briefings for different audiences.
• Critical Thinking: strong analytical and problem-solving skills, using evidence to assess emerging regulatory developments, identify implications, and develop practical recommendations.
• Data Literacy: the capability to gather information and data from various teams, evaluate the evidence, and apply it to back regulatory submissions and strategic positions.
• Business & Commercial Insight: the ability to link regulatory and industry developments with customer, business, and strategic objectives.
• Legal & Regulatory Compliance, particularly experience gained in regulatory affairs, public policy, government affairs, or external engagement within financial services.
• Knowledge of the UK payments and financial services regulatory environment.
• Experience contributing to or leading regulatory discussions, market studies, or major policy initiatives.

Aufgaben

• Lead our responses to consumer payments regulatory consultations, market studies and policy proposals, bringing together evidence from teams across product, finance, legal and risk.
• Represent the Group in industry forums and engage with regulators, policymakers and industry bodies, ensuring our positions are clear and evidence based.
• Monitor emerging regulatory and industry developments, turning complex policy changes into practical implications and recommendations.
• Coordinate regulatory information and data requests across the Group, and prepare high-quality briefings for senior stakeholders.
