Job summary

The Investigation Manager role at the Office for Students is based in Bristol or London, with hybrid working and a focus on investigative enforcement of higher education provider compliance. You will manage investigations, plan projects, and lead multidisciplinary teams while coordinating with Heads of Enforcement/Interventions.

We seek candidates with extensive regulatory investigations experience, strong judgement, and the ability to produce clear, comprehensive written outputs and guidance.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of investigating complex regulatory, competition, criminal or civil compliance matters within a specialist investigation environment.
• Demonstrable sound judgement in case decisions and aligning operational casework with organisational risk and priorities.
• Experience of leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams and delivering high-quality written outputs.

• Overseeing deployment of team members and staff management.
• Leading on policy and guidance activities and managing stakeholder relationships.
