Butler Rose - Compliance, Risk & Financial Crime is recruiting a Regulatory Compliance Engineer for an AI RegTech firm in City of London. The role sits at the crossroads of regulatory expertise, product & engineering, and AI-enabled compliance solutions.

You will translate regulation into structured frameworks embedded in software and advise clients on regulatory interpretation. You'll work closely with product teams, support regulatory change analysis, horizon scanning, and engage both

Qualifications

• Experience in regulatory compliance within financial services.
• Strong regulatory change, horizon scanning or regulatory implementation experience.
• Confident communicator able to engage technical and business stakeholders.

• Conducting regulatory gap analysis and compliance assessments.
• Mapping regulatory requirements to policies, controls and risk frameworks.

Regulatory Compliance Engineer– AI RegTech

City of London (5 days per week in office)

We’re partnering with an ambitious AI-driven RegTech firm that is redefining how financial institutions interpret and implement regulation.

They are hiring a Regulatory Compliance Engineer who enjoys working deeply with rules, frameworks and obligations, and wants to apply that expertise in a cutting-edge technology environment.

The Opportunity

This is not a traditional 2nd line compliance role. You’ll sit at the intersection of regulatory expertise, product & engineering, AI model development, and client-facing solution design. You will help translate complex regulation into structured frameworks that can be embedded into AI-driven compliance tools.
