Job description

We're partnered with a high-growth, London-headquartered Payments Fintech that serves businesses globally. They're looking for a Senior Regulatory Compliance Officer to strengthen their second-line function, bringing regulatory oversight to new products and helping the business expand safely into new markets.

It is ideally suited to someone who enjoys being involved early, shaping how products are built rather than reviewing them at the end, and who can balance regulatory rigour with a fast-moving commercial environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a trusted compliance adviser from the earliest stages of product development, so that regulatory requirements are designed in from day one rather than bolted on later
  • Support the firm's European expansion by assessing licensing and regulatory requirements in new markets and building practical, local compliance solutions, including consumer protection and operational controls
  • Own regulatory filings, disclosures and responses to supervisory bodies, making sure submissions are accurate and on time and that regulator relationships stay strong
  • Keep compliance policies, procedures and control frameworks current, testing first‑line operations and driving remediation where gaps appear
  • Track regulatory change across the relevant jurisdictions, turning it into clear internal guidance and training that the business can act on
  • Design and run thematic reviews and targeted audits covering areas such as vulnerable customers, complaints handling and operational resilience, with root cause analysis and actionable recommendations
Experience Required:
  • 5–6+ years in Compliance, ideally within fintech, digital banking, credit or wider financial services
  • Strong working knowledge of UK/EU regulation, e.g. FCA, PRA, EBA, PSD2
  • Excellent written communication, with the ability to produce clear memos, policies and regulatory correspondence
  • A track record of improving processes by spotting inefficiencies in workflows, tools and procedures and fixing them
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant field
  • CAMS, ICA Advanced AML or CFCS certifications, or strong data skills (SQL, Excel), would be a real advantage

This is a great opportunity to join a well-funded, founder-led business with a strong core offering that's expanding across multiple jurisdictions.

As a Certified B Corporation, we take a different approach to how we do business. Recognised on an international scale as a company that operates for good, we value & incorporate the interests of all of our stakeholders to grow in the most sustainable manner. As a recognised Great Place to Work, we ensure our workplace is one that fosters professional growth and collaboration.
