Job summary

Butler Rose in City of London is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Architect to work five days a week in the office. The role sits at the intersection of regulatory expertise, product and engineering, and AI-driven compliance tools, translating FCA handbooks into structured frameworks that can be embedded in software.

You will conduct regulatory gap analyses, map requirements to policies and controls, and support horizon scanning and regulatory change interpretation.

Qualifications

• Experience in regulatory compliance within financial services.
• Strong horizon scanning or regulatory implementation experience.
• Confident communicator able to engage technical and business stakeholders.
• Legal background desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Extracting regulatory obligations and structuring them into clear frameworks.
• Conducting regulatory gap analysis and compliance assessments.
• Mapping regulatory requirements to policies, controls and risk frameworks.
• Supporting horizon scanning and regulatory change interpretation.
• Acting as a regulatory "human-in-the-loop" alongside product and engineering teams.
• Supporting client discussions, demonstrations and solution design.
