Location Overview:

Job Description:

The role is within the EMEA Regulatory Compensation team, part of the broader EMEA Compensation & Benefits team. The team ensures compliance with EMEA regulatory requirements related to compensation, monitors regulatory developments, collaborates with stakeholders to implement new requirements, and reports to regulators and committees.

The EMEA Regulatory Compensation Specialist will support regulatory reporting, submissions, remuneration committee reporting, automation projects, and audits related to Material Risk Taker compensation rules.

The Team:

We are seeking an EMEA Regulatory Compensation Specialist in London or Chester to join an experienced, supportive team with exposure to EMEA compensation regulations and collaboration with various stakeholders across functions and regions.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the preparation of remuneration regulatory reports and disclosures.
  2. Support reports for local remuneration committees and boards across EMEA.
  3. Assist with applying MRT rules at year-end, including audits and controls.
  4. Collaborate on compensation regulatory projects, including automation initiatives.
  5. Stay updated on UK & EU regulations and ensure compliance of remuneration reports.
  6. Maintain governance, controls, and documentation of internal compliance assessments.
  7. Contribute to ad hoc projects and research for the EMEA Compensation & Benefits team.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, capable of managing large datasets.
  • Experience with UK & EU regulatory compensation landscape preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Initiative and ability to drive deliverables.
  • Experience in compensation practices within large financial firms.

Excellent communication skills, ability to simplify complex legislation/data, work independently or remotely, engage diverse audiences, manage multiple stakeholders, and demonstrate project management skills. Proficiency in PowerPoint and Word, commercial acumen, and prior relevant experience are also valued.
