Job description

Contract Type: 18 months temporary Contract

Working Hours: 37 hours per week

Worker Type: Hybrid Worker - minimum attendance at the office 1 day per week

Salary: Starting Salary is £27,709 (Level one) rising to £28,608 (Level three) per annum (pro rata for part-time)

About the Role

Safer Housing Proactive Enforcement is looking for an organised and customer-focused individual to support officers investigating unlicensed properties within the City Boundary, focusing primarily on properties requiring Selective Licences. The role involves speaking with Landlords by telephone, providing updates and guidance, maintaining accurate records, and managing case information across a variety of systems.

The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to organise and prioritise a busy workload. You will work closely with colleagues and Managers to ensure positive results are achieved.

Experience in housing, customer service, or administration is desirable, but most importantly, we are looking for someone who is compassionate, professional, and committed to delivering excellent customer service.

You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, completing various workstreams and spreadsheets and offering a high-quality, efficient service, whilst managing competing priorities is a key part of this role.

About You
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Ability to plan and manage a reactive workload to meet legislative and corporate deadlines
  • Ability to use IT packages such as Microsoft Packages, Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Capable of working in a team environment.
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced business environment using own initiative to prioritise workload
