Search Consultancy Ltd is seeking a Compliance Officer / Regulation 44 Inspector to join a children's residential care organisation on a part-time basis. You will conduct Regulation 44 monitoring visits across Central Leeds and Lancaster, focusing on safeguarding, quality of care and regulatory compliance.

This home-based role involves regular travel and reporting. The ideal candidate will have extensive children's residential care/regulatory experience, strong inspection skills and the ability

Competenze

• Significant experience in children's homes or regulatory/compliance roles.
• Experience conducting Regulation 44 / Independent Visitor visits.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and understanding of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to engage professionally with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car.

Mansioni

• Carry out Regulation 44 independent monitoring visits across an allocated cluster of homes.
• Review quality of care, safeguarding practice and outcomes for children and young people.
• Assess compliance against the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and guidance.
• Speak with children and young people to understand their experiences and reflect their views.
• Review records, care planning, safeguarding docs, incidents and complaints.
• Provide constructive challenge and support to Registered Managers.
• Produce detailed, evidence-based Regulation 44 reports with clear recommendations.
• Monitor progress against recommendations and assist homes in maintaining high standards.
• Collaborate with Registered Managers, social workers, placing authorities and others.
