Job summary

Cardiff Metropolitan University is seeking an organised administrator to support Registry Services. You’ll manage enrolment processes, maintain student records across university systems, issue transcripts and certificates, and handle enquiries from students and staff with excellent service.

The role requires attention to data quality, confidentiality and knowledge of data protection. You’ll work in a busy environment, support committees, and contribute to process improvements to enhance

Qualifications

  • Experience of maintaining and validating records within a complex information system while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Experience of providing high-quality administrative support and managing competing priorities to meet deadlines and service standards.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications and the ability to work effectively with databases and enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

  • Support a wide range of student lifecycle activities, including enrolment, student records management, assessment administration, academic outcomes and graduation processes.
  • Maintain accurate student, curriculum and operational records across University systems, ensuring high standards of data quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Produce, verify and issue official student documentation, including transcripts, certificates and digital credentials.
  • Respond to enquiries from students, staff and external stakeholders, providing accurate advice and excellent customer service.
  • Provide administrative support to committees, projects, meetings and operational activities, helping to ensure governance and service delivery.
  • Contribute to process improvements and new ways of working that enhance efficiency, service quality and the student experience.

You’ll Play a Key Role By
  • Supporting a wide range of student lifecycle activities, including enrolment, student records management, assessment administration, academic outcomes and graduation processes.
  • Maintaining accurate student, curriculum and operational records across University systems, ensuring high standards of data quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Producing, verifying and issuing official student documentation, including transcripts, certificates and digital credentials.
  • Responding to enquiries from students, staff and external stakeholders, providing accurate advice and excellent customer service.
  • Providing administrative support to committees, projects, meetings and operational activities, helping to ensure effective governance and service delivery.
  • Contributing to process improvements and new ways of working that enhance efficiency, service quality and the student experience.

  • An understanding of confidentiality, data protection and information governance principles.

Experience within Higher Education, knowledge of student administration processes, or familiarity with student records and academic administration would be advantageous. Experience of supporting process improvement or organisational change initiatives would also be beneficial.
