About The Team & Role
We have an exciting role available to work for Gloucestershire Registration Service as a Registration Support Officer in our busy team. As a Registration Support Officer, you will be required to speak to and help members of the public over the phone with some face-to-face interaction. Our customers are dealing with life events which can affect them emotionally therefore excellent customer service skills are vital to ensure they are treated with care and professionalism. The role involves accurately taking complex and detailed bookings for ceremonies, births and deaths and entering the information onto our bespoke booking system.
The role will be based at our Cheltenham Register Office from Monday to Friday and the position is also required to participate in a weekend rota for ushering at some ceremonies held at our Register Offices (Cheltenham, Gloucester, Stroud and Cinderford) on Saturday or Sundays/Bank Holidays.
Training will be provided on all aspects of the role as well as mentoring support from your team members.

The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills and be able to demonstrate interpersonal, administrative and computer skills. A good ability to cope in a demanding environment with the flexibility and desire to provide the best possible service are the key attributes we need alongside team members who reflect our values of respect, integrity, and excellence.
