Job summary

Axe Valley Vets in Somerset is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly, progressive team on a part-time basis. We provide modern facilities, including endoscopy, ultrasonography, digital radiography and an in-house lab.

The role involves working across multiple sites, 32 hours per week, 8 hours per day, 4 days, with a weekend rota and on-call elements. We welcome well-behaved dogs to come to work.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
• Clinical nursing experience in practice with nursing and surgical care.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients across first-opinion cases.
• Support anaesthetic procedures and monitoring.
• Manage inpatient care and daily ward duties.
• Perform laboratory work and diagnostic support.
