Job summary

Plymouth Vets in Plymouth is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team on a part-time basis up to 31 hours a week. You will deliver high-quality nursing care within a busy practice, working with vets and nurses across a comprehensive care setting.

You’ll work evenings and weekends as rotaed, with opportunities for professional development in a supportive, learning-focused environment and the chance to contribute to patient care and client experiences.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
• Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively.
• A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Nursing care of a range of first opinion cases in a busy practice.
• Collaborating with veterinary surgeons and the wider team to maintain clinical standards.
• Supporting surgical teams, inpatient care, nurse clinics, and out-of-hours emergency care.
