Job summary

Alpha Vets in the UK is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team on a full-time basis. You’ll work with Veterinary Surgeons across Risca and Langstone, delivering high-quality nursing care and contributing to excellent client and patient experiences.

The role covers nurse consultations, inpatient and kennel care, theatre nursing, dispensary duties, and support for laparoscopic spays and orthopaedic procedures, with opportunities to collaborate on rehabilitation therapies.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS is required.
• Experience in clinical practice with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills and client relationship focus.
• Excellent organisational abilities and proactive learning mindset.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of nursing care across a varied first opinion caseload.
• Run nurse consultations, weight management clinics and cat clinics.
• Provide inpatient and kennel nursing care.
• Support theatre and surgical procedures, including laparoscopic and orthopaedic cases.
• Monitor patients throughout procedures and recovery.
• Support dispensary duties and the safe management of medications.
• Work with our K-Laser therapy service to support rehabilitation and pain management.
