Job summary

Alpha Vets is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly clinical team across Risca and Langstone. You’ll deliver high standards of nursing care, run nurse clinics, manage inpatient and kennel care, and support theatre and surgical procedures including laparoscopic and orthopaedic cases.

You’ll work collaboratively with Veterinary Surgeons, reception, and nursing colleagues, across our Risca and Langstone sites, contributing to patient welfare and client experience.

Qualifications

• Registration with the RCVS is essential.
• Experience in clinical practice with medical and surgical nursing.
• Strong communication with clients and colleagues.
• Good organisational skills and workload management.
• Collaborative approach across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of nursing care across a varied first opinion caseload.
• Run nurse consultations, weight management clinics and cat clinics.
• Provide inpatient and kennel nursing care.
• Support theatre and surgical procedures, including laparoscopic and orthopaedic cases.
• Monitor patients during procedures and recovery; manage medications in dispensary.
