Job summary

Clockhouse Veterinary Hospital in Stroud is seeking a motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team on a full-time basis. You will deliver high standards of nursing care across a varied caseload, support surgical procedures, and run nurse clinics.

With 40 hours per week, a 5-day pattern, no out-of-hours requirements, and a focus on collaboration, learning and clinical excellence, you'll develop your skills within our well-equipped small animal practice.

Qualifications

  • Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
  • Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high standards of nursing care across a varied first opinion caseload.
  • Support surgical procedures, including anaesthesia monitoring and theatre nursing.
  • Run nurse clinics and contribute to preventative healthcare and client education.
  • Provide excellent inpatient care and support patient recovery.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Clockhouse Veterinary Hospital on a full-time basis.

Clockhouse Veterinary Hospital is a supportive small animal practice where continuous learning, collaboration and high clinical standards are at the heart of what we do. This is a fantastic opportunity for an RVN with an interest in nurse clinics to bring their skills and experience to a friendly, progressive team.

Our Stroud branch is well-equipped with an operating theatre, dedicated dental theatre, X-ray, dental X-ray, portable ultrasound and a newly installed scavenging system. We also have separate cat and dog wards, an isolation kennel, a separate cat reception area and a spacious, welcoming waiting room.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with Veterinary Surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern
  • 40 hours per week
  • 5-day working week with a mix of early and late shifts
  • 1 in 5 Saturday rota, working 8:00am-2:00pm, with time off in lieu
  • No out-of-hours requirements
