Qualifications

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Midhurst Vets on a part-time basis.

Join Midhurst Vets, where you'll work alongside a close-knit team consisting of one Veterinary Surgeon, one Receptionist, and one Veterinary Care Assistant. Our well-equipped practice features digital and dental X-ray, ultrasound, multiparameter monitoring, and laser therapy, giving you the tools to deliver excellent patient care. There is an element of sole charge nursing required in this role, so we're looking for an experienced RVN who is confident working independently while enjoying the freedom, trust, and strong collaborative relationship shared between our vets and nurses.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern

• 36 hours per week ideally; however, we can be flexible
• 8 am - 6:30 pm 4 days per week
• 1:8 Saturdays 8 am - 1:30 pm at Woodlands Vets

General Responsibilities

Your role will offer a great balance of surgical and consulting responsibilities, with two days each week spent in theatre working alongside two experienced VCAs, and the remaining days dedicated to nurse consultations. You'll run a variety of rewarding nurse clinics, including laser therapy, wellness screenings, nail clips, anal gland expressions, microchipping, second vaccinations, and dietary consultations. You'll also play an important role in maintaining the in-house laboratory, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
