Woodland Vets in Midhurst is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a warm, team-oriented practice. The role blends surgical and consulting duties, with two days in theatre and nurse clinics.

The team includes Vets, RVNs, VCA's and support staff, delivering comprehensive care in a supportive environment. The role offers a flexible 36-hour week, with shifts 8am–7pm four days a week and optional Saturday mornings.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Woodland Vets, Midhurst on a part-time basis. You may also be required to work at our Liphook site.

We have lots of toys, to name a few, a digital x-ray, a dental x-ray, a multiparameter anaesthetic monitoring machine, blood pressure, a microscope, in-house biochemistry and haematology blood machines, an ultrasound with cardiac and an abdominal probe, a laser, an ECG, an endoscope and a tonometer.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern

• 36 hours per week ideally; however, we can be flexible
• 8 am - 7 pm 4 days per week
• 1:8 Saturdays 8 am - 1:30 pm at Woodlands Vets (optional)

General Responsibilities

Your role will offer a great balance of surgical and consulting responsibilities, with two days each week spent in theatre working alongside two experienced VCAs, and the remaining days dedicated to nurse consultations. You'll run a variety of rewarding nurse clinics, including laser therapy, wellness screenings, nail clips, anal gland expressions, microchipping, second vaccinations, and dietary consultations. You'll also play an important role in maintaining the in-house laboratory, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
